My Maternal ancestors the Thursfield's came from Thursfield (Newchapel) back in the 14th Century. They spread all over Cheshire and Shropshire with main concentrations at Iron Bridge and Audlem, as well as Staffordshire. Does any one out there have detailed information on life and times of the Village of Thursfield back in those early days. Keele University has a copy of the Pipe Rolls for the area. Any information regarding the family name and of the Village would be much appreciated.
