Odd Fellows Arms Hotel

Keates Directory listed "The Odd Fellows Arms" landlord Francis Porter. This pub has given much to local legend as it was built on the Cheshire Staffordshire border, it is said that on a Sunday evening the regulars would have to move from the Staffs side of the pub to the Cheshire side at 10:30 because of different liscencing laws. In the 1860 (Post Office Directory of Birmingham, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Staffordshire) William Lawton ,Oddfellows' Arms and builder. The pub still standing is now the offices for Coronation Mill and is quite clearly distinguised with its darker coloured stone. See old add below.
Alf and Dolly Jones, were Landlord and Landlady of the Odd Fellows Arms during the 1940's and then moved the The Ash Inn. Then in 1954 the licence was suspended, the place finally closed on the 14th May
