One of the first buses to be in service on the hill was used to transport the mill girls to Congleton, it was operated by W.A .Leeson and driven on most occasions by his sons John(known as Jack) or Howard. The vehicle had various bodies that could be attached making also into a cattle truck, flat back coal lorry or a taxi.
