Eardleys Shop |

Eardley's which stood on the corner across from St. Thomas Church, this was run by Arthur Eardley & his wife. He worked as a full time conductor on Stanier's buses, the shop sold groceries & cigs. It was then sold to Gordon and Margaret Barker who ran the shop until 1974, then it became the property of George Harding who also had the house next door. The third in row was Inghams. | Picture
